Dan Grant is the founder of the Ball Slaps YouTube channel and host of the Ball Slapping podcast, where he and his friends explore the bizarre, brilliant world of niche ball sports.

Dan is a Medical Doctor, a former European no.1 player and European Champion in 1-Wall Handball (aka Wallball), Chair and Founder of 1Wall UK and Director of the World 1Wall Tour. He has played and promoted hand-based sports in over 20 countries - from historic courts in the Basque Country to concrete walls in Brooklyn. He’s on a mission to uncover the stories, characters, and absurd charm of the world’s most overlooked games.

In the last few years he was also awarded a Churchill Fellowship to learn from handball-esque sports around the world, so that we might have better physical activity and healthy outcomes for our young population in the UK. Through his charity, 1Wall UK, thousands of young people from inner cities are getting active every day with just a wall and a ball. And his mission here is simple: to show that you don’t need a stadium, a membership or even a team to belong in sport. All you need is a wall, a ball, and someone willing to play.

When not hitting things with his hands, he's also quite adept with padel and tennis rackets.
